False Eyelashes
71The first time that I ever used false eyelashes was when I attended prom. Back in those days, false eyelashes were quite plain; there was only one kind to choose from, and it was used to enhance your existing eyelashes, rather than provide many different dramatic effects. Nowadays, however, the choices for false eyelashes are immense! There are eyelashes with varying lengths and thickness, as well as individual lashes that provide a more subtle effect. These would fall under the natural eyelashes as they would only help in enhancing the regular eyelash and will add small hints of extra length or thickness depending on the look that you hope to achieve.
There are colored fake eyelashes available as well - and these are not necessarily subtle colors, as they can range from deep blues and purples to even hot pinks! These false lashes are popular with fashionistas who are a bit edgier in their personal style. Some false eyelashes are created with a glittering effect; some others are made to look like feathers; yet others have crystals and diamond-like stones to give a certain air of glamour and sparkle to anyone who would choose to wear them.
False eye lashes have become quite a popular accessory item. I now see regular people wearing fake eyelashes on a daily basis, as the process is much easier for applying false eyelashes now as compared to when they were first introduced to the cosmetics market. I remember, when I attended the prom, I had a beauty specialist help me figure out how to apply false eyelashes. Today, however, there are different options to wear them as well. Some would still need a special glue to be used to attach the eyelashes securely. For other styles, the adhesive is already built in the bed of the fake eyelashes directly, making them easier and quicker to apply.
There is also no longer the need to use your hands in putting on false eyelashes because of new, convenient eyelash applicators. This type of tool makes it easier to put on false eyelashes, as it would avoid getting glue on your fingers, which may damage the eyelashes before you can even put them on.
There are also other options to achieve those long, curly lashes. False eye lashes are not only confined in something that you must apply, as there are salons that can apply eyelash extensions for you - just like hair extensions - and these can ultimately last for months at a time. They are like your regular lashes as well, as the beauty specialist applies the lash extensions one by one, so they will seamlessly blend into your regular lash line.
I have a friend at my work place who got this treatment, and she was so happy with the results. It was an anniversary present from her husband, and she was so eager to tell anyone available as to how she got her lush, full lashes. The eyelash extensions lasted for about three months and after that, she went back to the salon to have another treatment so she could keep her beautiful new look.
Just look online and you will be able to see the variety of false eye lashes available. I can't imagine wearing any of the colored, feathered, glittered lashes personally - but I am open to the idea of wearing the conventional fake eyelashes to enhance the rather sparse lashes that I was born with. After all, they add a certain sexiness to any woman's peepers, and they really enhance your eye shape and eye color as well. False eyelashes may be an indulgence, but a beautiful indulgence to be sure!
