Take one tablespoon of sugar and add a few drops of olive oil, until it forms a nice paste. Massage onto your skin and rinse with warm water. The sugar acts as an exfoliator and the olive oil moisturizes, leaving you will lovely, healthy looking skin. This sugar scrub costs next to nothing and works as well as, if not better than, those luxury exfoliating body scrubs you can buy in the stores.

For sensitive skin, oatmeal is the way to go. Take one half of a cup of oatmeal, and add a tablespoon of honey. Massage onto your face and neck and let it sit for fifteen minutes. Rinse off warm water and you will have the softest skin imaginable - and without a trace of irritation!

For oily skin, corn flour will help control the oil. Mix two tablespoons of corn flour with just enough apple juice to form a paste. Massage gently in a circular motion and then rinse with warm water. Follow with a cool water rinse to seal the pores, and you will be magically oil free.

You can try experimenting with different ingredients to make a custom body scrub. Coffee grounds are antibacterial and naturally exfoliating. Try mixing them with plain yogurt for a great exfoliator. The best all around body scrub for both face and body is sugar. You can mix it with a variety of ingredients and it will slough off even the deadest skin. The same goes with sea salt. For exfoliating, use the coarse varieties of sea salt better results. They work best with stickier ingredients in order to form a paste, like honey. Be sure to use salt carefully if you have open wounds, as it can sting a bit.

Keep in mind that a body scrub exfoliator works best when used consistently and on a regular basis. Use gentle, circular motions when exfoliating your face in order to minimize irritation and try to using exfoliating products at night, which will give your skin a chance to replenish while you sleep.
